Thanked 3, Times in 1, Posts A letter to my son I found this letter and sent it to my son and I thought I would share it with you, you may also want to send it to your incarcerated loved ones. Dear Friend, How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you.
I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with me too. I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you and I waited.
It hurt me, but I still love you because you are my friend.
I saw you sleeping last night and longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your face. Again I waited wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you!
You awoke and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain.
If you would only listen to me! I try to tell you in blue skies and in the quiet green grass.
I whisper it in the green leaves of the trees and breathe in the colors of flowers, shout it to you in the mountain streams, give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents.
My love for you is deeper than the ocean and bigger than the biggest need in your heart! I have chosen you and I will wait. I love you, your friend, Jesus The first time I read this was on a plague in a second hand store and I cried standing right there.
I bought it, It gives me strength and I read it often, my son does too. I hope you like it.So many sleepless nights have been spent wondering why my dad would do this to me, to my mom, to my family, to my kids.
And I’ve come to the realization that he didn’t do this to us. He did this to himself. A Mother’s Open Letter To Her Son Will Bring You To Tears.

Sep 27, · A letter to my son Parents with Children in Prison. That is so beautiful I have been writing my son and I always tell him to pray for me and I was praying for him, today I got a letter and he said I'm praying for you and that just touched me because he always told me that he didn't believe that God loved him or there even was a God and then on another letter(all in the same envelope) I read.
My TRUE TALE for today is a bit unique, because it involves me writing a letter to my son, whom I re-connected with in after being estranged from him for about three years.
We are currently – and still – strengthening our relationship (YAY!) and I obtained his permission to publish this on my blog.
